Spitta and Ski

Just the other day, I went to Highline ball room to see Curren$y(who is currently killin it), Smoke Dza, Ski Beatz, Tabi Bonney, Stalley, Mckenzie Eddy, Sean O'Connell(who kills it on the guitar), Dynasty Electric, and some other bands for the Adidas sponsored, Blurock tour. All the artists that performed I believe are on the Creativecontrol.tv website. Check that out if you haven't already. Tons of great videos. Oh yeah, Tabi wasn't there unfortunately. Dynasty Electric is amazing and I want to check for them again. Sean O'Connell is a beast on the guitar. Dame Dash was in the building as well that night. Curren$y did his thing as usual and Ski had the place boppin their heads all night. Mckenzie was aight...kinda flat but got better during the night.

Who's house? Shoes House!

I also went to a Shoe's House party in Brooklyn. It was at Southpaw and featured, Houseshoes, Fresh Daily, Von Pea and Don Will of Tanya Morgan, some cute spanish chick that kinda did her thing, Skyzoo, Torae, Craig G, Jean Grey, and headlined by Danny Brown. I'm kinda feeling D. Brown lately..he's a mutha fuckin hybrid. It was kinda dead in there...Wednesday night..what you expect. The crowd was not what I expected and was almost non-existent.

Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival

The Brooklyn hip hop Festival sponsored by Brooklyn Bodega was pretty nuts. It had a real hip hop head's ultimate lineup. Blackmoon, Black Milk, Dres, Craig G, Curren$y, Fashawn, Rakaa, Masta Ace, Skyzoo, and a bunch more. It was raining and I didn't bring out the digi-cam so most those pics are Blackberry Curve pics. In other words, they kinda suck... Props to Fashawn for the pound.

It's been a long time coming....

Damn it's been years since I last updated this page (almost 3 year anniversary from the start of this blog) and got a chance to go to some more shows recently now that I'm employed again! LOL. Below you will find some pics from an old Rocksteady show where Eyedea(R.I.P.) and Immortal Technique went at each other. RIP to Guru as well. You will be missed. I also posted an Evidence picture from that show.

There's also some pictures from the Clipse show at Knitting Factory a few years back. They started off with "Virginia" and had the whole place in awe. It was a great show and played a lot of their hits and some new ones with the Re-up gang. I got some Ghostface pics from another Ghost and Raekwon show at Nokia theatre. You might be able to see Rae in the background...dunno if I posted those pics up.
